Kleine bronzen schildpad, natuurgetrouw weergegeven met zorgvuldig gedetailleerd schild. Schildpadden werden gezien als slechte wezens en daar soms afgebeeld terwijl ze geharpoeneerd werden om ze onschadelijk te maken.
Petite tortue en bronze, représentée de manière très naturaliste, avec une carapace minutieusement détaillée. On considérait les tortues comme des créatures maléfiques, aussi les représentait-on parfois harponnées, dans le but de les rendre inoffensives.
