Description
A limestone canopic jar with the lid in the form of Hepi. The lid is roughly worked but the detail of the head and face of the baboon is fine. The face is painted red and the wig and other features are detailed in blue and black, the result is quite lifelike. The jar is plain and uninscribed. Hepi was protector of the lungs.

Kalkstenen canopenvaas met deksel in de vorm van Hepi. Het deksel is grof gemodelleerd, maar de details van kop een aangezicht zijn fraai. Het aangezicht is rood geschilderd, de pruik en andere details aangezet in blauw en zwart. Het resultaat is zeer levensecht. De vaas is effen en bevat geen opschrift. Hepi beschermde de longen.
Vase canope en calcaire muni de son couvercle représentant Hepi. Ce couvercle a été grossièrement réalisé, mais la tête et les traits du babouin ont été habilement détaillés. Le visage est peint en rouge; la perruque et les autres détails sont bleus et noirs. L'ensemble est assez réaliste. Le vase est simple et anépigraphe. Hepi était le protecteur des poumons.
Ein Kanopenkrug aus Kalkstein mit einem Deckel in Form des Hepi. Der Deckel ist grob gearbeitet, aber die Details von Kopf und Gesicht des Pavians sind gut gelungen. Das Gesicht ist rot bemalt, Perücke und andere Einzelheiten sind blau und schwarz; das Ergebnis ist sehr lebensecht. Der Krug ist einfach und unbeschriftet. Hepi war der Beschützer der Lungen.
Vaso canopo in calcare con il coperchio avente la forma di Hepi. Il coperchio è rozzamente lavorato ma i dettagli della testa e del volto del babbuino sono raffinati. Il volto è dipinto in rosso così come la parrucca mentre gli altri dettagli sono blu e verde. Tutto ciò conferisce un effetto di verosimiglianza. La giara non è iscritta. Hepi era il protettore dei polmoni.
Vaso de vísceras, em calcário, com tampa em forma de Hepi. A tampa encontra-se rudemente trabalhada mas, os detalhes da cabeça e face do babuíno estao bem definidos. A face está pintada em vermelho e a peruca e outros traços fisionómicos em azul e preto, assemelhando-se à realidade. O vaso nao apresenta decoraçao e inscriçao. Hepi era o protector dos pulmoes.
Vaso canopo con tapadera en forma de Hepi. La tapadera está burdamente trabajada, pero los detalles de la cabeza y la cara de babuino son magníficos. La cara está pintada de rojo y la peluca y otros rasgos detallados en azul y negro; el resultado es bastante parecido a la realidad. El vaso es sencillo y anepígrafo. Hepi era el protector de los pulmones.
