Description
A large intact inscribed pottery funerary cone. It is very smooth and rounded. There are three columns of vertical text, divided. The signs are the work of a master craftsman. Such cones were placed at the entrance to the tomb, probably pushed into the wet plaster of the lintel. The broad inscribed end was visible to all who passed.

Grote en intacte grafkegel van aardewerk met opschrift. Het is zeer glad en afgerond. Er staan drie verticale kolommen tekst, met scheidingen. De tekens zijn het werk van een meester-vakman. Dergelijke kegels werden bij de ingang van het graf geplaatst, waarschijnlijk in het natte pleisterwerk van de bovendrempel. Zo was het brede uiteinde met opschrift voor iedereen te zien.
Grand cône funéraire en terre cuite. Il est intact et comporte une inscription répartie en trois colonnes séparées. Il a été soigneusement poli et présente un bel arrondi. Les signes sont l'oeuvre d'un maître-artisan. Les cônes étaient placés à l'entrée des tombes, probablement enfoncés dans le plâtre encore humide du linteau. Ainsi, tous ceux qui passaient devant la tombe pouvaient voir l'inscription figurant sur la base circulaire.
Ein großer intakter Grabkegel aus Ton. Er ist sehr glatt und rund. Der Text besteht aus drei vertikalen Kolumnen mit Zeilentrennern. Die Zeichen sind die Arbeit eines meisterhaften Handwerkers. Grabkegel wurden an Grabeingängen angebracht, wahrscheinlich wurden sie in den feuchten Putz des Türsturzes geschoben. Das beschriftete, breite Ende war für alle, die am Grab vorübergingen, sichtbar.
Grande ed intatto cono iscritto in terracotta. Il pezzo è liscio e tondeggiante. Presenta tre colonne di testo verticale suddiviso. I segni sono opera di una mano esperta. I coni erano posti all'ingresso della tomba, e venivano probabilmente pressati all'interno dell'intonaco bagnato dello stipite della porta, perché potessero essere visibili a tutti.
Cone funerário grande e intacto, em cerâmica. Está bastante polido e arredondado. Apresenta três colunas verticais de texto, dividido. Os símbolos foram trabalhados por mestre artesao. Estes cones eram colocados à entrada dos túmulos, provávelmente, pressionados no gesso fresco do lintel. A parte mais larga continha a inscriçao e era visível por todos.
Un gran e intacto cono funerario de cerámica inscrito. Es muy liso y redondeado. Hay cuatro columnas de texto, divididas. Los signos son el trabajo de un maestro artesano. Estos conos se colocaban en la entrada de las tumbas, probablemente incrustados en el yeso fresco del dintel. El extremo ancho, inscrito, era así visible para todo el que pasaba por delante.

Provenance: Probably Thebes. Preservation: The cone is badly salted. Text comment: The text is very finely worked and is quite lovely.
