Description
The ear-ring became popular in Egypt under Nubian and Asiatic influence after the 2nd Intermediate Period, and by the mid-18th Dynasty, kings too had their ears pierced. The penannular type is one of several introduced at that time.

De oorbel werd populair in Egypte onder Nubische en Aziatische invloed na de 2e Tussenperiode. In het midden van de 18e Dynastie hadden ook koningen gaatjes in hun oren. De cirkelvormige oorbel is een van de diverse typen die in die tijd geïntroduceerd werden.
C'est sous l'influence nubienne et asiatique que les boucles d'oreilles devinrent populaires, en Égypte, après la Deuxième Période Intermédiaire. A partir du milieu de la XVIIIème Dynastie, des rois avaient également les oreilles percées. Ce type de boucles d'oreilles a été introduit, parmi d'autres, à cette époque.
Ohrringe verbreiteten sich unter nubischem und asiatischem Einfluß nach der 2. Zwischenzeit in Ägypten, und von der Mitte der 18. Dynastie an ließen auch Könige ihre Ohren durchbohren. Dieser beinahe ringförmige Typ ist einer von mehreren, die zu dieser Zeit eingeführt wurden.
L'orecchino divenne popolare in Egitto sotto l'influenza nubiana e asiatica dopo il Secondo Periodo Intermedio, e intorno alla XVIII dinastia anche i re aveva le orecchie forate. Il tipo anulare é solo uno dei numerosi modelli introdotti a quel tempo.
O brinco tornou-se popular no Egipto por influência núbia e asiática após o Segundo Período Intermédio, e em meados da XVIII dinastia também os reis tinham as orelhas furadas. O tipo penanular é um dos vários introduzidos nessa altura.
Los pendientes se hicieron populares en Egipto gracias a la influencia nubia y asiática tras el Segundo Período Intermedio, hasta el punto de que a mediados de la XVIII Dinastía también los reyes tenían agujeros en las orejas. El tipo penanular es uno de los varios que aparecieron en esa época.
