Description
Barbed flint blade, found at a Neolithic settlement on the north side of the Faiyum (Site Z). The Faiyum sites provide the earliest evidence for farming in Egypt, from about 5000 BC. They were discovered by Gertrude Caton-Thompson in 1924-8, and Dublin was one of thirty museums outside Egypt to receive a part of the finds.
