Barbed flint arrow head found in the Faiyum. The Faiyum sites provide the earliest evidence for farming in Egypt, from about 5000 BC. They were discovered by Gertrude Caton-Thompson in 1924-8, and Dublin was one of thirty museums outside Egypt to receive a part of the finds.
