Tweezijdige houten kam, uit de grote stad die de Romeinse keizer Hadrianus stichtte op de plaats waar zijn minnaar Antinoos in de Nijl verdronk, en die naar hem Antinoopolis werd genoemd. De stad werd de overheersende provinciestad van Opper-Egypte, en bloeide gedurende de Byzantijnse Periode.
