Tall cylindrical storage jar, with rounded base, found in the site of Heliopolis, centre of the sun cult and one of the most important cities of ancient Egypt. The form indicates a date in the early first millennium BC: houses of that period were excavated in the area of the temple of Re, the sun-god.

De vorm suggereert een datering in het vroege eerste millennium voor Christus: uit die periode zijn huizen opgegraven in het gebied van de tempel van Re, de zonnegod.
Grande jarre cylindrique destinée au stockage, à base arrondie, découverte sur le site d'Héliopolis, centre du culte solaire et l'une des plus importantes villes de l'Égypte ancienne. D'après la forme, elle date du début du premier millénaire avant notre ère. Des maisons de cette période ont été découvertes dans l'enceinte du temple de Rê, le dieu-soleil.
Hohes zylindrisches Vorratsgefäß mit Rundboden, das in Heliopolis gefunden wurde, dem Zentrum des Sonnenkultes und einer der wichtigsten Städte des alten Ägypten. Die Form weist auf eine Datierung in das frühe 1. Jahrtausend v. Chr. hin: Häuser dieser Zeit wurden in der Umgebung des Tempels des Sonnengottes Re ausgegraben.
