Description
Roughly cylindrical pottery jar, with outward flaring mouth and base. This is a standard storage vessel in the late fourth millennium BC, found in ceramic and in stone. This example was found in the rich cemeteries at Tarkhan, dating to the period of the earliest recorded unification of Egypt, about 3000 BC.

Ruwweg cilindrische aardewerken kruik, met uitlopende mond en voet. In het late vierde millennium voor Christus was dit een standaard opslagvat. Het komt voor in aardewerk en steen. Dit exemplaar is gevonden in de rijke grafvelden van Tarchan, die uit de periode van de vroegst opgetekende vereniging van Egypte dateren, ca. 3000 voor Christus.
Jarre cylindrique en terre cuite de facture grossière, à l'ouverture évasée et à base plate. Il s'agit d'un récipient de stockage ordinaire typique de la fin du quatrième millénaire avant notre ère. Ils étaient fabriqués en céramique ou en pierre. Cet exemplaire a été découvert dans le riche cimetière de Tarkhan, datant de la période d'unification de l'Égypte, vers 3000 avant notre ère.
