Description
Finely worked bifacial flint blade, from its scale and acute angular form a part of a projectile such as arrow or spear head. It was excavated at Abydos, and may be from the cemetery of the first kings of Egypt, where numerous flint weapons were buried as provisioning for the afterlife.

Fijn bewerkte tweezijdige vuurstenen punt, op basis van de afmetingen en scherpe hoekige vorm onderdeel van een projectiel zoals een pijl of speer. Het is opgegraven te Abydos, en kan afkomstig zijn van het grafveld van de eerste koningen van Egypte, rond 3000 voor Christus te Abydos, waar veel vuurstenen wapens als voorziening voor het hiernamaals in de koninklijke graven werden geplaatst.
Lame en silex bifaciale taillée avec soin. D'après ses dimensions et sa pointe très aiguë, cette lame devait faire partie d'un projectile, flèche ou tête de javelot. Elle a été découverte à Abydos et peut provenir du cimetière des premiers rois de l'Égypte, où de nombreuses armes en silex avaient été déposées pour servir dans l'au-delà.
Fein retuschierte bifaziale Feuersteinklinge, die aufgrund ihrer Größe und spitzwinkligen Form Teil eines Projektils, einer Pfeil- oder Speerspitze ist. Sie wurde in Abydos ausgegraben und stammt vielleicht aus dem Friedhof der ersten Könige Ägyptens, in dem zahlreiche Feuersteinwaffen als Vorrat für das Leben im Jenseits begraben wurden.
Lama di selce bifacciale, finemente lavorata. Dalle sue dimensioni e dalla sua forma angolare si può dedurre che fosse parte di un proiettile quale la testa di una freccia o di una lancia. Questo oggetto è stato riportato alla luce in uno scavo condotto ad Abydos e potrebbe provenire dal cimitero dei primi sovrani dell'Egitto, dove numerose selci ed armi erano deposte come equipaggiamento per l'aldilà.
Lâmina bifacial em sílex, parte de um projéctil tal como flecha ou lança, como se pode deduzir pela escala e forma tão angular. Foi escavada em Abidos, e pode ser proveniente do cemitério dos primeiros reis do Egipto, onde foram enterradas numerosas armas em sílex para serem usadas no Além.
Bifaz de sílex delicadamente trabajado, por su tamaño y su acusada forma angular se puede pensar que formaba parte de un proyectil como una flecha o una punta de lanza. Fue encontrado en Abydos, puede que en el cementerio de los primeros reyes de Egipto, donde se enterraron numerosas armas de sílex como provisión para la otra vida.
