Description
Temple wall fragment carved in relief with an offering-bearer leading a gazelle. This is one of numerous relief fragments from a series of offering-bearers or courtiers, retrieved by the Egypt Exploration Fund in the clearance of the temple of king Nebhepetra Mentuhotep on the West Bank at Thebes. The artist has indicated the musculature of the legs and has included the details on the body of the animal.

Fragment van een tempelmuur met afbeelding in reliëf van een offerdrager die een gazelle meevoert. Dit is één van de talrijke reliëffragmenten met offerdragers of hovelingen die door het Egypt Exploration Fund zijn gevonden bij het opgraven van de tempel van koning Nebhepetre Montoehotep op de westoever van Thebe. De kunstenaar heeft tevens de spieren van de benen en de details op het lichaam van het dier weergegeven.
Fragment d'un mur de temple décoré d'un relief sculpté figurant un porteur d'offrandes conduisant une gazelle. Il s'agit d'un des nombreux fragments de relief, figurant des files de porteurs d'offrandes ou de courtisans, retrouvés par les membres de l'Egypt Exploration Fund, lors du dégagement du temple du roi Nebhépetrê Montouhotep, sur la rive occidentale de Thèbes. L'artiste a rendu la musculature des pattes et les détails du corps de l'animal.
Fragment mit Relief von einer Tempelwand mit einem Opferträger, der eine Gazelle herbeiführt. Dies ist eines der zahllosen Relieffragmente aus einem Zug von Opferträgern oder Höflingen, die von dem Egypt Exploration Fund bei der Säuberung des Tempels des Königs Nebhepetre Mentuhotep in Theben-West aufgefunden wurden. Der Künstler hat die Muskulatur der Beine angedeutet und die Details auf dem Körper des Tieres mit aufgenommen.
