Description
Pottery jar of Nile silt, with rounded base, convex profile and extended narrow neck. The upper part was formed on the wheel, the lower finished by hand. The form and scale suggest that this was used as a water jar. It was found in a tomb of the early Middle Kingdom, about 1900 BC, at Beni Hassan in Middle Egypt.

Aardewerken kruik van Nijlklei, met afgeronde basis, convex profiel en lange nauwe hals. De bovenkant is op een draaischijf gemaakt, de onderkant met de hand. De vorm en afmetingen suggereren dat het als waterkruik gebruikt is. Het is gevonden in een graf uit het vroege Middenrijk, rond 1900 voor Christus, in Beni Hasan in Midden-Egypte.
Jarre en limon du Nil, à base arrondie, au profil convexe et au col étroit et allongé. La partie supérieure a été modelée au tour, tandis que la partie inférieure a été façonnée à la main. Ses formes et ses dimensions suggèrent qu'il s'agit d'une jarre à eau. Elle provient d'une tombe datée d'environ 1900 avant J.-C., au début du Moyen Empire, découverte à Beni Hassan, en Moyenne Égypte.
Tongefäß aus Nilschlamm mit Rundboden, konvexem Profil und langem schmalem Hals. Der obere Teil wurde auf der Töpferscheibe geformt, der untere von Hand vollendet. Form und Größe weisen darauf hin, daß es sich um ein Wassergefäß handelte. Es wurde in einem Grab des frühen Mittleren Reiches, etwa 1900 v. Chr., in Beni Hassan in Mittelägypten gefunden.
Giara in terracotta in limo del Nilo, con base rotonda, profilo convesso e stretto collo esteso. La parte superiore era formata al tornio, mentre quella inferiore veniva finita a mano. La forma e le dimensioni suggeriscono che fosse usata come giara per acqua. L'esemplare è stato trovato in una tomba dell'inizio del Medio Regno, databile a circa il 1900 a.C., a Beni Hassan nel Medio Egitto.
