Description
Pottery vessel with rounded base, globular body, and wide outward flaring mouth. This jar was placed, presumably with offerings, in a tomb of the early Middle Kingdom at Abydos. Several other pottery vessels in this collection are marked as coming from the same tomb, which must then have been of some wealth.
