Description
Steatite cowroid, a shell-shaped amulet with flat base incised with a motif. This example bears the throne name of Tuthmosis III in a cartouche between two indistinct symmetrical designs. The throne name of Tuthmosis III was Menkheperra; it continued to be used for at least eight hundred years after his death on scarab amulets.

Steatieten schelpachtige, een schelpvormige amulet met vlakke basis waarin een motief is gekerfd. Dit exemplaar draagt de troonnaam van Thoetmosis III in een cartouche tussen twee onduidelijke symmetrische ontwerpen. De troonnaam van Thoetmosis III was Men-cheper-re en werd op scarabee-amuletten gebruikt tot minstens achthonderd jaar na zijn dood.
