Description
The Museum of Brussels preserves a whole collection of mace heads in an oval rounded form dating from the Naqada Period. This example, which comes from the excavations of J. Quibell at Hierakonpolis, was made out of limestone (see E.2348).

Het Museum in Brussel bezit een grote collectie knotskoppen met een ovale afgeronde vorm, die uit de Naqada-periode stammen. Dit exemplaar, afkomstig uit de opgravingen van J. Quibell te Hiëraconpolis, is uitgevoerd in calciet. (zie E.2348)
Le Musée de Bruxelles conserve toute une collection de têtes de massues de forme ovale arrondie datant de la Période Nagada. Cet exemplaire, qui provient des fouilles de J. Quibell à Hiérakonpolis, est fabriqué en calcaire (voir E. 2348).
