The small amphora, a large, two-handled liquid storage jar, has a broad rim surrounded by decorative ornamentation. Its shoulders curve toward a cone-shaped body that rests on a small rounded base. 

Circular handles on the side start at the lower part of the shoulders and extend to the upper part of the body. There are indentations around the shoulders. The upper part of the body is painted with two lines with a zigzag and dots between them. 

The amphora was found in the Saint Minas Monastery, along with a collection of amphoras and other vessels for which that monastery is famous.

Cette petite amphore, un grand récipient à deux poignées pour le stockage des liquides, est dotée d'un large bord entouré d'une décoration. Ses renflements forment une courbe en direction d'un corps en forme de cône qui est posé sur une petite base arrondie.

Des poignées circulaires sur le côté partent du bas des renflements et s'étendent jusqu'en haut du corps. Il y a des entailles autour des renflements. Sur la partie supérieure du corps, deux lignes sont peintes avec au milieu un zigzag et des points. 

Cette amphore fut découverte dans le monastère de Saint Minas avec une collection d'amphores et autres récipients qui ont fait la réputation de ce monastère.

أمفورة صغيرة؛ هي قدر كبير بمقبضين لتخزين السوائل. وحافتها عريضة ومقبضاها دائريان ومحاطة بزخارف زخرفية. وتنحني الأكتاف تجاه البدن المخروطي الشكل الذي يستقر على قاعدة صغيرة مستديرة. 

يبدأ المقبضان الدائريان على الجانب عند الجزء السفلي من الأكتاف، ويمتدان إلى الجزء الأعلى من البدن؛ ومحيط الأكتاف مسنن. ورسم على الجزء العلوي من البدن خطان بينهما زخارف متعرجة ومنقطة. 

وقد عثر على الأمفورة في دير القديس مينا، مع مجموعة من الأمفورات وعدد من الأوعية الأخرى التي يشتهر بها الدير.
