The Global Egyptian Museum

The statue depicts a priest of Soknopaio Nesos temple sculpted in black basalt. The priest is seated and wears a tunic with long sleeves. He is covered with a light mantle with sleeves bent to the chest.

The right shoulder is broken. He has short curled hair and the eyes are incised. 

The rigidity of his fixed look contrasts with the realistic features of the face. The seat has a right-angle base, which serves as a footstool.

Sculptée dans du basalte noir, cette statue représente un prêtre du temple de Soknopaio Nesos. 

En position assise, ce personnage est vêtu d'une tunique à manches longues. 
Il porte également un manteau léger aux manches tournées vers la poitrine. L'épaule droite est brisée. Ses cheveux bouclés sont coupés courts et ses yeux sont gravés. 

La rigidité de son regard fixe contraste avec les traits réalistes de son visage. 
Précisons que le siège a une base à angle droit faisant office de tabouret.

تمثال، منحوت في البازلت الأسود، لكاهن في معبد سوكنوبيو نيسوس. ويصوره بشعر مجعد ويرتدي ثوب التونيك بكمين طويلين وتغطيه عباءة خفيفة بكمين مائلين إلى الصدر. 

تتناقض صرامة الوجه وجمود نظرته مع الملامح الواقعية للوجه. 

المقعد مزود بقاعدة رأسية تعمل كمسند للقدمين. والكتف الأيمن للتمثال مفقود.
