The Global Egyptian Museum

The silver statue of Aphrodite, or Venus, although incomplete, is considered astounding. It depicts her nude with locks of hair falling on her shoulders. The head and the arms are broken. 

The statue, probably of Alexandrian workmanship, reveals the skill of the artist in highlighting the beauty of the goddess. This statue differs in shape and portrayal from other statues of Aphrodite.

Bien qu'incomplète, cette statue en argent est stupéfiante. Elle représente Aphrodite, ou Vénus, nue, avec des mèches de cheveux retombant sur les épaules. Probablement de fabrication alexandrine, elle diffère des autres statues d'Aphrodite du point de vue de la forme et du portrait. 

De plus, elle témoigne du savoir-faire de l'artiste. En effet, ce dernier est parvenu à mettre en valeur la beauté de la déesse. Précisons également que la tête et les bras de cette statue sont cassés.

يعد هذا التمثال من الفضة لأفروديت، أو فينوس، تمثالاً بديعاً على الرغم من أنه غير مكتمل. ويصورها في هيئة أنثى عارية تنساب خصلات الشعر على كتفيها. وجدير بالذكر أنه فُقد منه الذراعان والرأس.

ويختلف هذا التمثال عن باقى التماثيل التى صورت أفروديت. ويظهر التمثال مهارة الفنان في إبراز جمال الإلهة، ومن المحتمل أن يكون قد صنع بالأسكندرية.
