The Global Egyptian Museum

The fragment of a decorated limestone ostracon bears a simple image of a person standing on the ground. The person is in the act of driving a gazelle. He holds the gazelle's horn tightly in his right hand, while the left one holds a whip.

The image of the person is too vague to be identified but we can notice that he does not have the Egyptian features especially that he is bearded, he could be an asiatic.

Un fragment d'un ostracon en calcaire décoré comporte une image simple d'un homme debout qui est en train de mener une gazelle. Il tient la corne de gazelle fermement dans sa main droite et un fouet dans la main gauche.

L'image de cette personne est trop vague pour être identifiée mais il n'a pas les traits égyptiens surtout il est barbu, il peut être un asiatique.

هذه القطعة هى جزء من شقفة من الحجر الجيرى، مزينة بمنظر بسيط لشخص واقف على الأرض ويقود غزال. وقد أمسك الرجل بيده اليمنى بقوة أحد قرون الغزال، بينما أمسك بيده اليسرى بسوط.

وصورة الرجل مشوشة بحيث يصعب تحديد تفاصيلها، ولكن يمكن ملاحظة أن الرجل لا يحمل الملامح المصرية، خاصة وأنه ظهر ملتحياً، وربما يكون ذو أصول آسيوية.
