The circular lamp is in the shape of a bowl with a central jar made of one piece of clay. The central jar contains the twisted wick used in oil lamps. 

The wick was probably made of linen coated with oil or animal fat to last longer and to provide light. 

Found in the jar were charred fragments, remains of the small wick, and an unidentified substance possibly used for aromatic purposes.

Cette lampe circulaire est en forme de récipient avec un pot au centre fabriqué dans un seul morceau d'argile. Ce pot central contient la mèche tordue utilisée dans les lampes à huile. 

La mèche est probablement en lin recouvert d'huile ou de graisse animale afin de durer plus longtemps et de fournir de la lumière. 

On a trouvé dans le pot des fragments calcinés, des restes de la petite mèche et une substance non-identifiée, probablement utilisée à des fins aromatiques.

صمم هذا المصباح المستدير على هيئة طبق به جرة فى الوسط مصنوعة من قطعة واحدة من الطين. وتحتوى الجرة على فتيل مبروم من النوع المستخدم فى لمبات الزيت. 

وربما كان هذا الفتيل مصنوع من الكتان المغطى بزيت أو دهن الحيوان لكى يبقى الوهج لمدة أطول ولكى يعطى ضوءاً. 

كما عثر فى الجرة على ورقة مخططة وبواقى حبل صغير ومادة غير معروفة ربما كانت تستخدم لأغراض عطرية.
