The Global Egyptian Museum

This fan is made of ebony, veneered to look like tree bark. It was originally fitted with 48 ostrich feathers, traces of which are preserved. The ostrich plumes were attached to the edges of a flat section. It is decorated with the king's cartouche below the two plumes of the god Amun. 

The "Neb" sign of gold is attached to the bottom as if the king wanted to show that he had returned to the cult of Amun and that he is the "Golden King". More flabellums, or fans, of different styles were found in the annex of King Tutankhamun's tomb, the Treasury, and within the shrines. 

Because all these fans were needed during the lifetime of the king, they were placed in the tomb to be used in the afterlife.

Cet éventail est en ébène et a l'apparence d'une écorce d'arbre. Il comprenait à l'origine 48 plumes d'autruche dont des traces ont été conservées. Les plumes d'autruche furent fixées sur les côtés d'une section plate. Il est orné du cartouche du roi sous les deux plumes du roi Amon. 

Le signe "Neb" de l'or est fixé à la base comme si le roi voulait montrer qu'il était revenu au culte d'Amon et qu'il est le "Roi doré". D'autres flabellums, ou éventails, de styles différents furent découverts dans l'annexe de la tombe du roi Toutânkhamon, la salle du trésor, et dans les tombeaux. 

Comme tous ces éventails étaient nécessaires du vivant du roi, ils furent placés dans sa tombe pour être utilisés dans l'au-delà.

هذه المروحة مصنوعة من الأبنوس ومغطاة بطبقة خارجية تجعلها تبدو مثل لحاء الشجر. وقد كانت فى الأصل مزودة بثمانية وأربعون ريشة نعام، بقيت بعض أثارهم حتى الأن. وقد كانوا مثبتين فى أطراف قطعة مسطحة ومزينة بخرطوش للملك أسفل ريشتى الرب أمون. 

كما توجد علامة الذهب "نوب" مثبتة بأسفل كما لو كان الملك يريد أن يظهر عودته لعبادة أمون وأنه هو "الملك الذهبى" وقد تم العثور على العديد من المراوح ذات الطرز المختلفة فى الملحق الخاص بقبر الملك توت عنخ أمون والحجرة المعروفة باسم حجرة الخزانة وبداخل التوابيت. 

وكان يتم وضع جميع المراوح فى القبر ليستخدمها الملك فى العالم الأخر كما كان يستخدمها فى حياته.
