Description
Standing on long legs, this wooden box is decorated with panels of blue faience and ornamented with gilded gesso. On the long sides are lines of the king's names flanked by uraei, the royal cobras. The knobs are made of violet faience with the names of the king Tutankhamun in pale blue. This box was used to hold the jewels and the treasures of the king, but unfortunately it was ransacked

Reposant sur de hauts pieds, ce coffre en bois est décoré de panneaux en faïence bleue et orné d'un enduit doré. Sur les longs côtés de ce coffre se trouvent les noms du roi Toutânkhamon entourés de plusieurs uræus, ou cobras royaux. Les poignées sont réalisées en faïence violette. Les noms du roi, quant à eux, sont de couleur bleu pâle. A l'époque, ce coffre renfermait les bijoux et les trésors du roi Toutânkhamon, mais malheureusement, ils furent pillés.
يرتكز هذا الصندوق الخشبى على أرجل. وهو مزين بشرائح من القيشانى الأزرق وزخارف منفذة بالجص المذهب. وعلى الجانبين الطوليين للصندوق كتابات هيروغليفية محاطة بالصل المقدس وتوضح أسماء الملك توت عنخ آمون. أما عن مقابض الصندوق فقد صنعت من القيشانى البنفسجى بينما نقش عليها أسماء الملك باللون الأزرق الفاتح. وكان هذا الصندوق يستخدم فى حفظ حلى الملك، إلا أنها لسوء الحظ قد نهبت.
