Description
This is a headless statue of King Merenptah of the Nineteenth Dynasty. The king stands in the classical attitude with his left leg forward; his hands are holding cylindrical objects. He has a false beard and wears the Usekh broad collar upon his chest. Below the collar, there are the fasteners of a piece of jewelry that cover the external part, surmounted by the sun disk. His two cartouches are carved on the front of his right leg, as well as his epithets as Lord of the Two Lands. The king is dressed in a pleated kilt with a large belt decorated with his cartouche. According to the inscribed text, the statue dates to the second year of Merenptah's reign.

Il s'agit d'une statue sans tête du roi Merenptah de la dix-neuvième dynastie. Le roi se tient debout adoptant la position classique avec la jambe gauche vers l'avant. Ses mains tiennent des objets cylindriques. Il porte une fausse barbe et le large collier Ousekh sur sa poitrine. Sous le collier, on voit les fermoirs d'un bijou qui recouvre la partie externe, surmonté du disque solaire. Ses deux cartouches sont sculptés sur la partie avant de sa jambe droite, ainsi que ses épithètes en tant que Seigneur des deux terres. Le roi est vêtu d'un pagne plissé avec une large ceinture ornée de son cartouche. Selon le texte inscrit, cette statue date de la deuxième année du règne de Merenptah.
تمثال بلا رأس للملك مرنبتاح، رابع ملوك الأسرة التاسعة عشرة. يقف الملك على الطريقة التقليدية مقدماً ساقه اليسرى وممسكاً في يديه باشياء اسطوانية. وهو يضع لحية مستعارة ويلبس على صدره القلادة الكبيرة المسماة أوسخ. وأسفل القلادة هناك محابس لقطعة من الحلي تغطي الجزء الأمامي من الصدر يعلوها قرص الشمس. وامام الساق اليمنى نقش اثنان من خراطيشه وألقابه التي تصفه بأنه سيد الأرضين. ويرتدي مرنبتاح نقبة ذات ثنيات بحزام عريض مزين بخرطوشه الملكي. ووفقاً للنص المنقوش على التمثال فإنه يؤرخ للعام الثاني من حكم مرنبتاح.
