The Global Egyptian Museum

This statue depicts a man kneeling on a rectangular base. He is holding in his hands a figure of a baboon resting on a small base. The baboon was the sacred animal of the god of wisdom, Thoth. 

The man is wearing a wig that reaches his shoulders exposing his ears. He also wears a noticeably short kilt. 

The base of the statue bears a damaged frieze of hieroglyphic inscription.

Cette statue représente un homme à genoux sur une base rectangulaire. Il tient entre ses mains la représentation d'un babouin allongé sur une petite base. Le babouin était l'animal sacré du dieu de la sagesse, Thoth. 

L'homme porte une perruque qui lui arrive aux épaules et laisse apparaître ses oreilles. Il porte également un kilt court remarquable. 

La base de la statue comporte une frise endommagée d'inscriptions hiéroglyphiques.

يصور هذا التمثال رجلاً راكعاً على قاعدة مستطيلة ويمسك فى يديه تمثالاً لقرد الميمون على قاعدة صغيرة، حيث كان الميمون الحيوان المقدس لرب الحكمة تحوت. 

ويضع الرجل على رأسه شعراً مستعاراً يصل إلى كتفيه دون أن يغطى أذنيه، كما أنه يرتدى نقبة قصيرة ملفتة. 

وعلى قاعدة التمثال يوجد افريز مهشم من الكتابة الهيروغليفية.
