The Global Egyptian Museum

This statue depicts a Satyr, a deity in Greek mythology. The standing man is shown naked, with his right hand holding attributes in front of his chest, and looking down to his left. His ears are pointed and his hair is short and curly. 

There is a groove on the back of his head to hold a diadem, or crown. The statue includes traces of an object against his left thigh, perhaps a tree stump on which he rested his left arm.

Cette statue représente un satyre, une divinité de la mythologie grecque. L'homme debout est représenté nu, avec la main droite tenant des attributs devant sa poitrine et regardant en bas à gauche. Il a des oreilles en pointe et des cheveux courts et frisés. On voit une rainure au dos de sa tête pour contenir un diadème, ou une couronne. 

Cette statue comprend des traces d'un objet contre sa hanche gauche, peut-être une souche d'arbre sur laquelle il appuyait son bras gauche.

تمثال لساطير، أحد المعبودات في الأساطير الإغريقية. وقد صور الرجل عاريا ويمسك في يده اليمنى، وأمام صدره، برموز مميزة؛ ملتفتا إلى اليسار بعينين منخفضتين تنظران إلى أسفل.

أذناه مدببتان وشعره قصير مجعد. وهناك أخدود خلف رأسه لكي يثبت به إكليل أو تاج. ويضم التمثال آثار شيء كان مستندا على فخذه الأيسر؛ ربما كان جذع شجرة كان يتكئ عليه بذراعه الأيسر.
