The Global Egyptian Museum

The owner of this statue was called Khnum-Ib-Re. It is sculpted in hard stone and polished. Though idealized, the features of the statue include a slight smile. 

The body of the statue is inscribed with a hieroglyphic text giving the name and titles of Khnum-Ib-Re. It also appeals to people who pass before the statue to recite the offering formula for his sake and not to let his name be forgotten.

Le propriétaire de cette statue s'appelait Khnum-Ib-Re. Il est sculpté dans de la pierre dure et polie. Bien qu'idéalisés, les traits de la statue incluent un léger sourire. 

Sur le corps de la statue est gravé un texte hiéroglyphique indiquant le nom et les titres de Khnum-Ib-Re. Il appelle également les gens passant devant cette statue à réciter la formule d'offrande à son attention et à faire en sorte que son nom ne soit pas oublié.

يدعى صاحب هذا التمثال خنوم-أيب-رع، وقد نحت التمثال فى حجر صلب ثم صقل. ورغم أن الملامح واقعية، غير أنها تحمل ابتسامة خفيفة. 

كما يعطى التمثال نقشاً هيروغليفياً يوضح اسم وألقاب خنوم-ايب-رع، ويدعو الناس الذين يمرون أمامه أن يرددوا صيغة القرابين من أجله وأن لا يتركوا أسمه للنسيان.
