Description
The squatting statuette portrays a man called Iwfaa. It depicts him sitting on a round cushion with his body completely covered by a cloak. His left hand lies flat with an open palm, while the right hand holds a lettuce, symbol of fertility. He wears a deeply striped bag wig and a long necklace that falls between his knees and is decorated with the face of the goddess Hathor, who ensures youth, beauty, and pleasure. The statuette was placed in the temple in a submissive posture to permit its owner to symbolically participate in temple offerings.

Cette statuette représente un homme, s'appelant Iwfaa, accroupi. Il est assis sur un coussin rond avec son corps complètement recouvert d'une cape. Sa main gauche est posée à plat avec la paume ouverte, alors que sa main droite tient une salade, symbole de fertilité. Il porte une perruque aux rayures profondes et un long collier qui lui tombe entre les genoux et est orné du visage de la déesse Hathor, qui assure jeunesse, beauté et plaisir. Cette statuette a été placée dans le temple dans une posture de soumission afin de permettre à son propriétaire de participer symboliquement aux offrandes du temple.
هذا التمثال الصغير يصور رجل يدعى ايو-إف-عا وقد جلس القرفصاء على وسادة مستديرة. ويفرد الرجل يده اليسرى، بينما يمسك فى يده اليمنى نبات الخس، رمز الخصوبة. وهو يرتدى عباءة تغطى جسمه بالكامل، كما يضع على رأسه شعراً مستعاراً منتفخا ومخطط بعمق. وتزين رقبته قلادة طويلة تنزل بين ركبتيه ومزينة بوجه المعبودة حتحور التى تمنح الشباب والجمال والسرور. وكان هذا التمثال موضوعاً فى المعبد حتى يسمح لصاحبه أن يشارك رمزياً فى القرابين.
