Description
This statue depicts Rahotep standing with his left foot forward. He wears a large wig reaching to his shoulders and a short kilt. His right hand rests on his chest, while his left arm falls by his side. He is holding kerchiefs. The statue is supported by a back pillar. The base of the pillar is engraved with the name and titles of the owner. The quality of the statue reveals the skill of the ancient sculptor who worked with hard stone. The sculptor succeeded in rendering the details of the face as well as the beautiful wig.

Cette statue représente Râhotep debout avec le pied gauche en avant. Il porte une large perruque qui lui descend jusqu'aux épaules et un kilt court. Sa main droite est posée sur sa poitrine et son bras gauche pend sur le côté. Il tient des foulards. La statue est soutenue par un pilier arrière. Sur la base du pilier sont gravés le nom et les titres du propriétaire. La qualité de cette statue révèle les compétences du sculpteur qui travailla de la pierre dure. Ce sculpteur a réussi à rendre les détails du visage ainsi que de la magnifique perruque.
يمثل هذا التمثال رع-حتب الذى يقف مقدماً قدمه اليسرى ويرتدى نقبة قصيرة بينما يضع على رأسه شعراً مستعاراً يصل إلى كتفيه. ويضع رع-حتب يده اليمنى على صدره بينما ينزل ذراعه الأيسر بحزاء جسده، وهو يمسك فى يديه بمنديل من القماش. ويسند التمثال من الخلف عمود منقوش على قاعدته اسم وألقاب صاحبه. وتبرز هذه القطعة الفنية مهارة النحات المصرى القديم الذى تعامل مع الحجر الصلب ونجح فى توضيح تفاصيل الوجه والشعر المستعار الجميل.
