Description
This family group statue of Ka-em-heset shows him with his wife and son. Ka-em-heset was chief of sculptors and royal architect in the Fifth Dynasty. The man is depicted in the traditional pose of men in ancient Egypt. He is wearing a short kilt, a short curly wig, and the broad Usekh collar. His wife is wearing a long tight dress. She is shown with a straight wig. Their young son is nude and is holding a finger to his mouth. He is standing between his parents' legs. The names of Ka-em-heset and his family are inscribed on the base of the statue.

Cette statue de la famille de Ka-em-heset le représente en compagnie de sa femme et de son fils. Il était chef de sculpteurs et architecte royal durant la cinquième dynastie. L'homme est représenté dans la pose traditionnelle des hommes de l'ancienne Egypte. Il porte un kilt court, une perruque frisée courte et le large collier Ousekh. Sa femme porte une longue robe serrée. Elle a une perruque raide. Leur jeune fils est nu et se met un doigt dans la bouche. Il est debout entre les jambes de ses parents. Les noms de Ka-em-heset et de sa famille sont inscrits sur la base de la statue.
يمثل هذا التمثال العائلى كا-ام-حست مع زوجته وابنه. كان كا-ام-حست كبير النحاتين ورئيس المهندسين الملكيين فى عصر الأسرة الخامسة. ونرى الرجل ممثلاً للشكل التقليدى فى مصر القديمة، فهو يرتدى النقبة القصيرة والقلادة العريضة المسماة "أوسخ". كما يضع على رأسه شعراً مستعاراً قصيراً مموجاً. أما زوجته فهى ترتدى ثوباً طويلاً ضيقاً وشعراً مستعاراً منسدلاً. وأخيراً نرى ابنهما الذى وقف بين سيقان والديه عارياً وهو يضع إصبعه فى فمه. كما نقش الفنان اسم كا-ام-حست وأفراد أسرته على قاعدة التمثال.
