The Global Egyptian Museum

The statue of the god Osiris sitting on a small throne differs from other statues of the same god. He is sitting on a small throne over a rectangular base, completely enveloped in a garment, but the characteristic emblems that he usually holds in his hands are not visible. 

Osiris is usually known by his Atef crown of two ostrich feathers and the ureaus, or royal cobra, but in this statue he wears a wig instead.

Cette statue représentant le dieu Osiris assis sur un petit trône est différente des autres statues de ce même dieu. Il est assis sur un petit trône posé sur une base rectangulaire, complètement enveloppé dans un vêtement, mais les emblèmes caractéristiques qu'il tient généralement ne sont pas visibles. 

On reconnaît d'habitude Osiris grâce à sa couronne Atef comprenant deux plumes d'autruche et l'uraeus, ou cobra royal. Mais sur cette statue, il porte une perruque à la place de la couronne Atef.

يختلف هذا التمثال لأوزوريس الجالس على عرش صغير عن غيره من التماثيل الخاصة بنفس المعبود. حيث نراه هنا جالساً على عرش صغير فوق قاعدة مستطيلة وقد تغطى جسمه بالكامل فى حلة. غير أننا لا نرى رموزه التقليدية التى يمسكها عادة فى يديه. 

ويعرف أوزوريس بتاج الآتف الذى تزينه ريشتا النعام والصل المقدس أو الكوبرا الملكية. إلا أنه فى هذا التمثال يضع بدلاً منه الشعر المستعار.
