Hathor, the symbolic mother of the pharaoh, is represented as a woman with the head of a cow. She wears her typical crown that consists of two cow horns, the sun disk, and two plumes. 

The sun disk indicates that Hathor was the daughter of the sun god Re. In her left hand, she probably held the sistrum, or rattle, her favorite musical instrument with which she drove away evil spirits.

Hathor, mère symbolique du pharaon, est représentée sous les traits d'une femme à tête de vache. Elle porte sa couronne typique composée de deux cornes, du disque solaires et de deux plumes. 

Le disque solaire indique que Hathor était la fille du roi soleil Rê. Dans sa main gauche, elle tient sans doute un sistre, ou une crécelle, sont instrument de musique préféré avec lequel elle éloigne les mauvais esprits.

كانت حتحور تعتبر الأم الرمزية للملك. وتظهر فى هذا التمثال على شكل سيدة برأس بقرة. وهى تلبس تاجها المعتاد الذى يتكون من قرنى بقرة بينهما قرص الشمس الذى تعلوه ريشتان. 

ويدل قرص الشمس على أن حتحور كانت ابنة رب الشمس رع. وربما كانت تمسك فى يدها اليسرى السيستروم أوالشخشيخة،وهى آلتها الموسيقية المفضلة والتى كانت تبعد بها الأرواح الشريرة.
