Description
This statue of Senenmut, the architect of the temple of Deir el-Bahari, is enveloped in a long robe with the symbol of Hathor around his head. Senenmut was the most favored and influential person at the court of Queen Hatshepsut. Although he was from a modest background, he was promoted to the highest official positions. Senenmut was also the tutor of Neferure, the only child of Hatshepsut and Tuthmosis the Second.

Cette statue de Senenmout, l'architecte du temple de Deir el-Bahari, est enveloppée dans une longue robe avec le symbole de Hathor autour de la tête. Senenmout était la personne la plus appréciée et la plus influente de la cour de la reine Hatchepsout. Bien qu'issu d'un milieu modeste, il fut promu aux fonctions officielles les plus élevées. Senenmout était également le tuteur de Néfrourê, enfant unique d'Hatchepsout et de Thoutmosis Deux.
سنموت هو المهندس الذى بنى معبد الدير البحرى، وقد كان أكثر من تمتع بالحظوة والتأثير فى بلاط الملكة حتشبسوت. وعلى الرغم من أصله المتواضع، إلا أنه استطاع الوصول إلى أعلى المناصب الإدارية، وكان أيضاً مربى الأميرة نفرو-رع ابنه حتشبسوت الوحيدة من زوجها الملك تحتمس الثانى. وفى هذا التمثال نرى سنموت وقد لف جسمه فى رداء طويل، كما وضع حول رأسه رمز حتحور.
