The Global Egyptian Museum

Imhotep is portrayed seated on a backless stool. He wears a long garment fastened at the front with a knot on the chest and has sandals on his feet. The rims of his eyes and his eyelashes are gold; the whites of the eyes are silver. 

The papyrus on his lap does not bear any text. There are hieroglyphic inscriptions round the base and the name of Imhotep is written on it.

Imhotep est représenté assis sur un tabouret. Il porte un long vêtement attaché sur le devant à l'aide d'un noeud sur la poitrine et il est chaussé de sandales. Les contours de ses yeux et ses cils sont en or. Le blanc de ses yeux est en argent. 

Le papyrus sur ses genoux ne comporte aucun texte. On peut lire des inscriptions hiéroglyphiques autour de la base et le nom d'Imhotep y est inscrit.

يصور هذا التمثال إيمحتب، وقد جلس على كرسى بلا ظهر مرتدياً حلة طويلة مربوطة من الأمام بعقدة على الصدر، كما يلبس صندلاً فى قدميه. وإطر العينين والحواجب مصنوعة من الذهب وبياض العينين من الفضة. 

ولا تحمل لفافة البردى المفرودة على فخذيه أيه نصوص، فى حين نقش نص هيروغليفى على القاعدة متضمناً اسم إيمحتب
