Description
The statue portrays King Tuthmosis the Third sitting on his throne. He wears the traditional Egyptian headdress, the Nemes, decorated with the uraeus, or royal cobra, protector of the pharaoh. Tuthmosis the Third is shown with a nude torso, wearing the Usekh collar and the Shendyt royal kilt. His hands are flat on his knees and his name is inscribed in the royal cartouche on his belt. On the sides of his legs, two columns of hieroglyphs give his names and titles. The two sides of the throne were decorated with the Sema-Tawy, sign of the unity of the two lands, now almost missing except for part of the papyrus plant. In this statue, the features of King Tuthmosis the Third look like those of Queen Hatshepsut, his predecessor.

Cette statue représente Thoutmosis Trois assis sur son trône. Il est coiffé du nemès décoré de l'uraeus, ou cobra royal, en signe de protection. Torse nu, le roi porte un collier Ousekh et le Shendyt, ou pagne royal. Ses mains sont posées sur ses genoux et son nom est gravé dans le cartouche royal qui orne sa ceinture. Sur les côtés de ses jambes, deux colonnes de hiéroglyphes mentionnent ses noms et ses titres. Les deux côtés du trône étaient ornés du «Sema-taouy», ou symbole de l'unification des deux terres dont il ne reste qu'une partie de la plante de papyrus. Les traits de cette statue du roi Thoutmosis Trois ressemblent à ceux de la reine Hatchepsout.
يمثل التمثال الفرعون تحتمس الثالث جالسا على عرشه مرتديا التاج المصرى التقليدى المزين بالحية الملكية حارسة الفراعنة وتبدو يداه مبسوطتان على ركبتيه ويكتب اسمه على خرطوش ملكى على حزامه. على جانبى الأرجل عمودان مكتوبان بالهيروغليفية مكتوب عليهما اسمه ونعوته وعلى جانبيه كان يوجد رسم سماتاوي، رمز اتحاد مصر السفلى والعليا، لم يبق منه سوى جزء من نبات البردي. ونجد أن ملامح تمثال الملك تحتمس الثالث تشبه ملامح الملكة حتشبسوت.
