Description
The statuette shows a servant wearing a short white kilt seated on the ground holding a stick in his left hand. A red dish filled with charcoal is in front of him. He is probably roasting a goose, which is now missing. Cooking was depicted in stone and wooden sculpture as well as in wall decorations to secure a continuous food supply for the deceased in the afterlife.

Cette statuette représente un domestique portant un kilt blanc court et assis sur le sol avec un bâton dans la main gauche. Un plat rouge rempli de charbon de bois se trouve en face de lui. Il est sans doute en train de rôtir une oie que l'on ne voit plus aujourd'hui. Des sculptures en pierre et en bois ainsi que des décorations murales représentaient des scènes de cuisine afin d'assurer au défunt qu'il ne manquerait jamais d'aliments dans l'au-delà.
تمثال صغير يصور خادماً يرتدي نقبة بيضاء قصيرة ويجلس على الأرض؛ ممسكاً بعصا في يده اليسرى؛ وأمامه طبق مليء بالفحم المتوهج. وربما هو يقوم بشواء إوزة، هي الآن مفقودة. وكانت عمليات الطهي تصور بالنحت في الحجر أو الخشب، وكذلك في النقش على الجدران؛ لضمان وجود إمداد متصل من الطعام من أجل المتوفى في الحياة الآخرة.
