Found at Thebes, this limestone bust was attributed to Meritamun, the daughter of Ramesses the Second. After her mother's death, she became the royal queen and wife. 

Meritamun was also a priestess for the goddess Hathor, as well as a player of the sistrum rattle of Mut and the Menat necklace of Hathor, which she holds in her left hand. 

Her wig and the details of her softened face are finely carved

Découvert à Thèbes, ce buste de calcaire fut attribué à Méritamon, fille de Ramsès Deux. Après le décès de sa mère, elle reçut le titre de reine et d'épouse royale. 

Méritamon était également une prêtresse de la déesse Hathor. Elle aimait jouer du sistre de Mout (crécelle). Précisons qu'elle tient dans sa main gauche le collier Menat d'Hathor. 

Sa perruque et les détails de son doux visage sont finement sculptés.

نسب هذا التمثال إلى ابنة رمسيس الثاني، المسماة مريت آمون، التي صارت بعد موت أمها الزوجة الملكية. وهو من الحجر الجيري وعثر عليه في طيبة. 

وقد نحت الشعر المستعار وقسمات الوجه نحتا ممتازا مما يجعل من التمثال صورة رائعة الجمال وآية من الفن الرفيع. 

وكانت مريت آمون كاهنة للربة حتحور كما كانت تتولى العزف على صلاصل الربة موت، وحاملة منات، قلادة حتحور التي تقبض عليها بيسارها.
