This palette conventionally represents a tilapis fish. The gills, degenerated fins and the spines of the tail are indicated by incised lines; the tail is small. Eyes are not shown. A small hole for suspending is drilled in the upper part of the palette. According to parallels, it can be dated to late Naqada II - early Naqada III period.
