The statuette represents a sitting woman wearing a wig with long lappets resting on her breast; the cut of her dress is obscure because of complete loss of painting. Rhomboidal pattern imitating a tattoo is incised on the legs. This rare feature is an attribute of female dancers, musicians and harem women; however, they were never shown sitting and the Hermitage statuette is unique in this respect.
