Description
This "cosmetic spoon", which dates from the 18th Dynasty, has kept the form of shells, which, in the Middle Kingdom, served also in the presentation of offerings. It is decorated, in the middle, with the fish "tilapia nilotica", symbol of rebirth, who holds in its mouth a lotus in full bloom, a leaf and a bud.

Deze "zalflepel", die dateert uit de 18e dynastie, heeft de vorm van een schelp bewaard, die reeds in het Middenrijk diende voor het aanbieden van offers. Het is in het midden versierd met de vis "tilapia nilotica", symbool van de wedergeboorte, die een ontloken lotus, een blad en een knop in de mond houdt.
Cette "cuiller à fard", qui date de la XVIIIème Dynastie, a gardé la forme des coquillages, qui, au Moyen Empire, servaient déjà à la présentation d'offrandes. Elle est décorée, au milieu, du poisson "tilapia nilotica", symbole de la renaissance, qui tient en bouche un lotus épanoui, une feuille et un bouton.
Dieser Salblöffel, der aus der 18. Dynastie stammt, hat die Form jener Muscheln, die bereits im Mittleren Reich zur Darbringung von Opfergaben dienten. Esso é decorato, al centro, conun pesce "tilapia nilotica", simbolo della rinascita, che tiene in bocca un loto aperto, una foglia e un bocciolo.
Esta «colher» de maquilhagem data da XVIII dinastia e apresenta a forma das conchas que no Império Médio serviam para apresentaçäo de oferendas. Está decorada ao centro com o peixe «tilapia nilotica», um símbolo do renascimento, que tem na boca um lótus aberto, uma folha e um botäo.
