Description
This figurine of bronze belongs to a group of 14 similar objects which have been found during the excavations of the Oxford University Expedition at Kawa, a town to the south of the 3rd cataract. It depicts, in a very classical way, the god Osiris standing. Wearing the atef-crown which is surmounted by a large solar disk, the god of the dead wears a sheath covering his entire body. He holds the heqa-sceptre (crook) and the flagellum in his hands.

Dit bronzen beeldje behoort tot een groep van 14 gelijksoortige voorwerpen die gevonden zijn tijdens de opgravingen van de Oxford University Expedition te Kawa, een stad ten zuiden van het derde cataract. Het stelt, op een zeer klassieke wijze, de god Osiris staande voor. De god van de doden, getooid met de atef-kroon met daarop een grote zonneschijf, draagt een nauw omsluitende mantel die het hele lichaam bedekt. Hij houdt de heqa-scepter en het flagellum in de handen.
Cette figurine en bronze appartient à un groupe de 14 objets semblables qui ont été retrouvés pendant les fouilles de l'Oxford University Expedition à Kawa, une ville au sud de la IIIe cataracte. Elle représente, d'une façon très classique, le dieu Osiris debout. Coiffé de la couronne-atef, qui est surmontée d'un grand disque solaire, le dieu des morts porte une gaine couvrant le corps entier. Il tient le sceptre-heqa et le flagellum dans les mains.
Diese Bronzefigurine gehört zu einer Gruppe von 14 ähnlichen Objekten, die während der Grabungen der Oxford University Expedition in Kawa, einer Stadt südlich des 3. Kataraktes, gefunden wurden. Sie zeigt auf sehr klassische Weise den stehenden Gott Osiris. Er trägt die Atefkrone, über der sich eine große Sonnenscheibe befindet, und eine den ganzen Körper bedeckende Hülle. In den Händen hält er das "Heqa"-Szepter (Krummstab) und die Geißel.
Questa figurina di bronzo appartiene a un gruppo di 14 oggetti simili che sono stati ritrovati durante gli scavi dell'Oxford University Expedition a Kawa, una cittá a sud della III cateratta. Essa rappresenta, in modo molto classico, il dio Osiride in piedi. Con la corona-atef, che é sormontata da un grande disco solare, il dio dei morti porta una guaina che gli copre tutto il corpo. Regge lo scettro-heqa e il flagello nelle mani.
Esta figurinha de bronze pertence a um grupo de catorze objectos semelhantes que foram encontrados durante as escavaçöes da Oxford University Expedition em Kauá, uma localidade a sul da III catarata. Ela representa, de uma forma bastante clássica, o deus Osíris de pé, com a coroa-atef rematada por um grande disco solar. O deus dos mortos está coberto com a habitual mortalha justa e exibe nas suas mäos o ceptro-heka e o sceptre-nekhakha (chicote).
Esta figurita de bronce pertenece al grupo de catorce objetos semejantes que fueron encontrados durante las excavaciones de la Oxford University Expedition en Kawa, una ciudad situada al sur de la Tercera Catarata. Representa a Osiris de un modo muy clásico, de pie. Está tocado con la corona-atef, sobre la cual hay un gran disco solar y lleva un sudario que le cubre todo el cuerpo, En las manos lleva el cetro-heqa (cayado) y el flagelo.
