Greek name for King Nekhthorhebi Snedjemibre (360 - 343 BC). Nectanebo II was the third king of the 30th Dynasty and the last native ruler of Egypt. In 342 BC he was forced to surrender his country to the Persian ruler Artaxerxes III Ochos. The latter had conducted a failed invasion of Egypt in 351 BC, but nine years later was able to add the country to the Persian empire.
