Description

Necklace composed of beautiful white neritic seashells separated by groups of enamel disc-shaped beads: five or six black beads framed by three turquoise beads. The latter constitute the extremities. The materials used were those much prized by peoples of Lower Nubia at the end of the third millennium and the first half of the second millennium B.C.

Collier composé de beaux coquillages marins blancs, de type nérita, séparés par des groupes de perles discoïdes en pâte emaillée, cinq ou six perles noires encadrées de trois perles bleu turquoise. Ces dernières constituant seules les extrémités. Les matériaux utilisés sont représentatifs de ceux prisés par les populations de Basse Nubie à la fin du 3e millenaire et dans la première moitie du 2e millenaire avant J.C.
