Description
This lid of a canopic jar in terracotta which comes probably from the excavations at Abydos in 1900 takes the form of a head of a monkey. The object was totally covered by a white coat. This type of lid probably dates from the 20 Dynasty.

Dit deksel van een canopenvaas in terracotta is waarschijnlijk afkomstig uit de opgravingen te Abydos in 1900. Het heeft de vorm van een apekop. Het object was geheel bedekt met een witte laag verf. Het exemplaar behoort tot een type deksel van canopenvazen dat dateert uit de 20e dynastie.
