Description
Eye to be inlaid in the eye socket of a statue (or of a crocodile mummy?). It has a truncated shape for that exact purpose. The white of the eye is of limestone. The iris is composed (from the exterior to the interior) of a black circle, a red circle (both of glass), an originally golden circle (cuprous metal) and an obsidian circle.

Oeil prévu pour être incrusté dans le visage d'une statue (ou d'une momie de crocodile?) et taillé en forme troncônique à cet effet. Le blanc de l'oeil est représenté par le calcaire. L'iris se décompose de l'extérieur vers l'intérieur en cercle noir, puis un cercle rouge, tous deux en verre, un cercle à l'origine doré (métal cuivreux), une pastille noire enfin de verre.
