Description
The god Nefertem is squatting facing left on a lotus flower. He is wearing the sidelock of youth, the royal headcloth or Nemes and a composite crown. His left hand is holding a sceptre and flagellum (nekhakha-sceptre) , his right is held to his mouth. To the left of the crown are the remains of an inscription. The body of the god was executed in very shallow relief. There are still traces of a plaster coating. The lotus flower, the god's attributes and the inscription were originally inlaid but the inlay is now gone. The piece comes from the back of a chair.

De god Nefertem zit, naar links gekeerd, op een lotusbloem. Hij draagt de jeugdlok, de koninklijke hoofddoek of nemes en een samengestelde kroon. Zijn linker hand houdt een scepter en veren vast, de rechter houdt hij aan de mond. Links van de kroon bevinden zich resten van een inscriptie. Het lichaam van de god is afgebeeld in zeer ondiep reliëf. Er zijn nog sporen van een pleisterlaag. De lotusbloem, de attributen van de god en de inscriptie waren oorspronkelijk ingelegd, maar het inlegwerk is verdwenen. Het stuk is afkomstig uit de achterkant van een stoel.
Le dieu Nefertoum est accroupi, tourné vers la gauche, sur une fleur de lotus. Il porte la mèche de l'enfance, la coiffe royale ou Nemes et une couronne composite. De la main gauche, il tient un sceptre et le flagellum (sceptre-nekhakha). De la droite, il se touche la bouche. A gauche de la couronne, figurent les restes d'une inscription. Le corps du dieu a été sculpté en bas-relief. A l'origine, il était recouvert de plâtre. Quelques traces de ce revêtement sont encore visibles. La fleur de lotus, les attributs divins et l'inscription étaient autrefois incrustés. Cet objet provient du dossier d'une chaise.
Der Gott Nefertem hockt nach links gewandt auf einer Lotosblüte. Er trägt die Jugendlocke, das Königskopftuch oder Nemes und eine Kompositkrone auf dem Kopf. Die linke Hand hält Szepter und Wedel (Nechacha-Szepter), die rechte Hand ist an den Mund geführt. Links von der Krone ist der Rest einer Beischrift zu sehen. Der Körper des Gottes ist in sehr flachem Relief gearbeitet. Reste eines Stucküberzuges sind noch zu erkennen. Die Lotosblüte, die Attribute des Gottes und die Beischrift enthielten Einlagen, die heute verloren sind. Das Stück stammt von der Rückenlehne eines Sessels.
Il dio Nefertem è accovacciato su un fiore di loto, rivolto verso sinistra. Egli ha la treccia laterale tipica dei fanciulli, il copricapo regale e una corona composita. La mano sinistra tiene lo scettro e le piume, la destra è portata alla bocca. Sulla sinistra della corona vi sono i resti di un'iscrizione. Il corpo del dio è eseguito in bassissimo rilievo. Vi sono ancora tracce del rivestimento di stucco. Il fiore di loto, gli attributi del dio e l'iscrizione erano originariamente intarsiati, ma l'intarsio non si è conservato. Il pezzo proviene dallo schienale di una sedia.
O deus Nefertem está agachado numa flor de lótus, virado para a esquerda. Tem a madeixa da juventude, o toucado real ou nemés e uma coroa compósita. A mão esquerda segura o ceptro e as plumas, a mão direita toca a boca. A esquerda da coroa estão os vestígios de uma inscrição. O corpo do deus foi feito em baixo relevo. Tem ainda vestígios de uma camada de gesso. A flor de lótus, atributos do deus e inscrição foram incrustrados originalmente mas a incrustação já não existe. A peça provém das costas de uma cadeira.
El dios Nefertem acuclillado sobre una flor de loto y mirando hacia la izquierda. Lleva la coleta de la juventud, el tocado real, o sea nemes, y una corona compuesta. La mano izquierda sujeta el cetro y las plumas, mientras que la derecha oca la boca. A la izquierda de la corona se ven los restos de una inscripción. El cuerpo del dios se realizó en bajorrelieve extremo. Todavía hay restos del yeso que lo cubría. La flor de loto, los atributos del dios y la inscripción estaban incrustadas, pero el relleno ha desaparecido. La pieza procede del respaldo de una silla.
