Description
The mighty horns, on which the small ears are resting, are bent in a prominent forward curve. This identifies the figure as the ram of Amun. The crown is made of solid gold and attached to the skull with a small dowel. It is assumed that this ram was once inserted into a ring, as rings with three-dimensional additions are known from the New Kingdom. Another possibility is that it served as a pendant with an attachment over the back of the animal. Its style points to a date in the Ethiopean Period. The ram manifestation of Amun was the principal deity of the Ethiopian rulers, who wore a head of the god around their necks.

De machtige horens waarop de kleine oren liggen, zijn wijd naar voren gebogen. Daardoor is de figuur herkenbaar als de ram van Amon. De kroon is van massief goud en door een kleine pen in de schedel bevestigd. Men neemt aan dat deze ram ooit in een ring gezet was; ringen met dergelijke driedimensionale voorstellingen zijn bekend uit het Nieuwe Rijk. Een andere mogelijkheid is dat het een hanger was met een beugel over het dierenlichaam. Stilistisch is het beeldje in de Ethiopische periode te dateren. Amon als ram was de hoofdgod van de Ethiopische heersers. Zij droegen de afbeelding van zijn hoofd rond de nek.
Les puissantes cornes, qui entourent les petites oreilles, sont courbées vers l'avant. Ceci identifie ce bélier à l'animal divin d'Amon. La couronne en or massif est fixée dans la tête de l'animal à l'aide d'un petit tenon. On a proposé de voir dans ce bélier une partie de bague. Des bagues avec des représentations en trois dimensions sont en effet connues du Nouvel Empire. Il pourrait aussi s'agir d'un pendentif. Stylistiquement, la figurine date de l'époque éthiopienne. Amon en tant que bélier était le dieu principal des rois éthiopiens, qui portaient un bijou en forme de tête de bélier autour du cou.
Die mächtigen Hörner, auf denen die kleinen Ohren aufliegen, sind weit nach vorne gebogen: damit ist die Figur als der Widder des Amun bezeichnet. Die Krone ist massiv aus Gold gegossen und durch einen kleinen Zapfen mit dem Scheitel verbunden. Man hat angenommen, daß dieser Widder in einen Ring eingesetzt war; Ringe mit solchen dreidimensionalen Aufsätze sind aus dem Neuen Reich bekannt. Eine andere Möglichkeit wäre die Montierung als Anhänger mit einem Bügel über dem Tierkörper. Stilistisch wird die kleine Figur in die Äthiopenzeit datiert. Amun in Widdergestalt war der Hauptgott der äthiopischen Herrscher; das Abbild seines Kopfes trugen sie als Halsschmuck.

La corona è in oro massiccio ed è fissata sulla testa dell'animale attraverso un piccolo perno. E' stato proposto che questo ariete fosse inserito su un anello; in effetti vari anelli con tali rappresentazioni tridimensionali sono conosciuti nel Nuovo Regno. Secondo un'altra ipotesi, si potrebbe trattare di un pendente che aveva un gancetto sul corpo dell'animale. Stilisticamente, la figurina è databile all'epoca etiopica; Amon sotto forma di ariete era il dio più importante dei re etiopici, che portavano un gioiello a forma di testa di ariete intorno al collo.

A coroa é feita de ouro sólido e está presa ao crâneo com uma cavilha. Crê-se que esta imagem de carneiro esteve em tempos inserida num anel, pois são conhecidos anéis com acrescentos tridimensionais do Império Novo. Outra possibilidade é a de ter servido de pendente com uma argola na parte de trás do animal. O seu estilo aponta para a XXV dinastia. A manifestação do deus Amon em forma de carneiro era a principal divindade dos soberanos núbios, que usavam uma cabeça deste deus ao pescoço.
Los poderosos cuernos rodean las orejas y se curvan hacia delante. Esto identifica al carnero con el animal divino de Amón. La corona de oro macizo está pegada a la cabeza del animal con una clavija. Se ha sugerido que este carnero era parte de un anillo y, efectivamente, se conocen anillos con elementos tridimensionales de la época del Imperio Nuevo. También podría tratarse de un colgante. Estilísticamente, la figurilla pertenece a la época etíope. Amón con forma carnero era el dios principal de los reyes etíopes, que llevaban una joya en forma de cabeza de carnero alrededor del cuello.
