Description
A finely modelled and detailed amulet of the hippopotamus goddess Taweret, made from a pale faience bearing traces of red-brown colour. She stands in characteristic upright pose with both arms at her sides and the left leg forward. Taweret was protectress of pregnant women and childbirth. On the top of her head is a decorative loop for suspension.

Fraai gemodelleerd en gedetailleerd amulet van de nijlpaardgodin Taweret van bleke faience die sporen van een roodbruine kleur draagt. Ze staat op de karakteristieke wijze rechtop met beide armen langs de zijden en met het linkerbeen vooruit. Taweret beschermde de zwangere vrouwen en bij de geboorte. Op haar hoofd heeft ze een versierd oogje ter ophanging.
Amulette élégamment modelée et bien détaillée, en faïence pâle portant des traces de couleur rouge-brun. Elle représente la déesse hippopotame Taouret, dans une attitude caractéristique : bien droite, la jambe gauche en avant et les bras le long du corps. Taouret protégeait les femmes enceintes et veillait au bon déroulement des accouchements. L'objet comporte, sur la tête, un anneau de suspension décoratif.
Ein schön modelliertes und detailliertes Amulett der Nilpferdgöttin Taweret aus heller Fayence mit Spuren rotbrauner Farbe. Sie steht in charakteristischer aufrechter Haltung mit den Armen an der Seite und vorgestelltem linkem Bein. Taweret war die Beschützerin der schwangeren Frauen und der Geburt. Auf ihrem Kopf ist eine dekorative Öse angebracht.
Amuleto finemente modellato e ricco di dettagli, in faience chiara che mostra tracce di colore marrone-rosso, della dea ippopotamo Tauret. La figura è rappresentata in posizione verticale con le braccia lungo i fianchi e la gamba destra avanzata. Tauret era la potente protettrice delle donne gravide e del parto. Nella parte superiore della testa è visibile un anello decorativo che veniva utilizzato per appendere l'oggetto.
Amuleto da deusa-hipopótamo Taueret, minuciosamente modelado e detalhado, feito em faiança de cor esbatida e com vestígios de cor vermelho acastanhado. Encontra-se em característica posiçao vertical, com ambos os braços estendidos lateralmente e perna esquerda avançada. Taueret era considerada protectora das mulheres grávidas e do parto. No topo da sua cabeça encontra-se presilha decorativa para suspensao.
Un amuleto magníficamente detallado y modelado con la forma de la diosa hipopótamo Tueris hecha de fayenza pálida con restos de color rojo amarronado. Está en su característica pose erguida con los brazos junto a los costados y el pie izquierdo adelantado. Tueris era la protectora de las mujeres embarazadas y de los partos. Encima de la cabeza lleva un decorativo anillo de suspensión.
