Description
The mummy of an adult female, Ta-enty, was found in situ in it's tomb in 1906 by Professor John Garstang. The outer shroud is held in place by broad retaining bandages, undisturbed accept in the area around the feet. The X-ray revealed that the skull and mandible have been crushed, the teeth are scattered throughout the thorax, abdomen and pelvis. There are no signs of packing materials or visceral packages in the body cavity. The arms are extended, the hands lying against the outer thighs.

Mummie van een volwassen vrouw, Ta-enty. Ze werd in situ in haar graf gevonden door professor John Garstang in 1906. De buitenste wade wordt op de plaats gehouden door brede windsels, die intact is behalve bij de voeten. Op de röntgenfoto is te zien dat de schedel en de kaak zijn verbrijzeld, terwijl de tanden verspreid zijn over de borstholte, onderbuik en heupsectie. Er zijn geen sporen van vulmaterialen of ingewandenpakketten in de lichaamsholte. De armen zijn uitgestrekt met de handen tegen de buitenkant van de dijen.
Momie d'une femme nommée Ta-enty, découverte in situ, dans sa tombe, par le Professeur John Garstang, en 1906. Le linceul extérieur est maintenu en place par de larges bandelettes. Il est intact, sauf au niveau des pieds. Les rayons X ont révélé que le crâne et la mâchoire inférieure avaient été écrasés, que les dents étaient dispersées dans le thorax, l'abdomen et le bassin. La cavité corporelle ne comporte aucune trace de matériau de remplissage ou de paquet de viscères. Les bras sont tendus, les mains reposant contre les cuisses.
Diese Mumie einer erwachsenen Frau namens Ta-enti fand Professor John Garstang 1906 in situ in ihrem Grab. Das äußere Tuch ist mit breiten Haltebandagen befestigt, die nur im Fußbereich gestört sind. Eine Röntgenaufnahme zeigt, daß Schädel und Unterkiefer zertrümmert sind; die Zähne sind im gesamten Brustkorb, im Unterleib und im Becken verstreut. Es gibt keinen Hinweis auf Füllmaterial oder Eingeweidepakete in der Leibeshöhle. Die Arme sind ausgestreckt, die Hände sind an die Außenseiten der Schenkel angelegt.
Mummia di una donna adulta, Ta-enty, ritrovata in situ nella sua tomba nel 1906 dal Professor John Garstang. Il sudario esterno è legato da fasce e risulta intatto fatta eccezione per la zona dei piedi. L'indagine ai raggi X ha rivelato che il cranio e la mandibola erano stati rotti e che i denti risultavano sparsi per il torace, l'addome e la zona pelvica. Non vi sono segni di materiale da imballaggio o di viscere nelle cavità del corpo. Le braccia sono tese e le mani poggiano sulle cosce.

O sudário exterior encontra-se preso, na sua colocaçao original, por faixas largas, encontrando-se intocado, com excepçao da zona em torno dos pés. O exame a Raios-X efectuado revelou que o crâneo e o maxilar inferior foram esmagados e os dentes dispersados por entre o tórax, abdómen e pélvis. Nao existem vestígios de materiais de enchimento ou de sacos de vísceras nas cavidades do corpo. Os braços encontram-se estendidos com as maos repousadas sobre a parte exterior das coxas.

El sudario se mantiene en su sitio mediante <!-->unas amplias vendas de sujeción, intactas a excepción de la zona de los pies. Las radiografías demostraron que el cráneo y la mandíbula estaban aplastados y los dientes dispersos por el tórax, el abdomen y la pelvis. No hay restos de paquetes de tela o paquetes viscerales en la cavidad corporal. Los brazos están extendidos, con las manos en la parte externa de los muslos.

Object''s History
Found by Professor John Garstang during his excavations at Qushtamna, Nubia, in 1906. Garstang records the discovery of this tomb in his manuscript report for February and March 1906, now kept at SACOS (School of Archaeology, Classics and Oriental Studies), University of Liverpool. The tomb was situated to the north of the main necropolis, the opening was built up with rocks and when these were removed the coffin was revealed lying just inside.
