Description
Copper models from the tomb of King Khasekemwi at Abydos. Many copper objects were found in the tomb of this last king of the 2nd Dynasty. They include harpoon heads, chisels, knives and small bowls. Most were made as funerary equipment and were not intended for practical use.

Koperen modellen uit het graf van koning Chasechemwi te Abydos. Vele koperen voorwerpen werden gevonden in het graf van deze laatste koning van de 2e dynastie, onder andere harpoenpunten, beitels, messen en kommetjes. De meeste waren gemaakt als grafuitrusting en waren niet bedoeld voor praktisch gebruik.
Ces modèles en cuivre proviennent de la tombe du roi Khasekhemoui à Abydos. La tombe du dernier roi de la IIème Dynastie contenait un grand nombre d'objets en cuivre, dont des têtes de harpon, des ciseaux, des couteaux et des petites coupes. La plupart servait de mobilier funéraire et ne fut jamais employée.
Kupfernachbildungen aus dem Grab des Königs Chasechemui in Abydos. Im Grab des letzten Königs der 2. Dynastie wurden viele Gegenstände aus Kupfer gefunden. Sie umfassen Harpunenspitzen, Meißel, Messer und kleine Gefäße. Viele wurden für die Grabausrüstung hergestellt und waren nicht zum praktischen Gebrauch bestimmt.
