Fragment of a glazed tile, with green, white and purple-black glaze, from el-`Amarna, the city founded in Middle Egypt as Residence and centre of the sun-cult under Akhenaten. The polychrome glaze is typical of the luxurious products of the city, constructed at a time of increased trade between Egypt and the technologically more advanced centres in Western Asia.

Fragment van een geglazuurde tegel met groen, wit en paarszwarte glazuur uit El-`Amarna, de stad gesticht in Midden-Egypte als residentie en centrum van de zonnegod ten tijde van Akhnaton. Het veelkleurige glazuur is typerend voor de luxueuze producten van de stad, die gebouwd werd in een tijd van toenemende handel tussen Egypte en de technologisch meer geavanceerde centra in West-Azië.
Fragment de tuile de revêtement émaillée, avec glaçure verte, blanche et noir violacé, provenant d`Amarna. Cette ville de Moyenne Égypte fut fondée, sous Akhénaton, pour accueillir sa résidence et le centre du culte solaire. La glaçure polychrome est typique des produits de cette ville opulente, construite à l'apogée du commerce que l'Égypte entretenait avec les centres technologiquement plus avancés d'Asie occidentale.
Fragment einer glasierten Kachel mit grüner, weißer und purpurschwarzer Glasur aus el-`Amarna, der unter Echnaton in Mittelägypten als Residenz und Zentrum des Sonnenkultes gegründeten Stadt. Die polychrome Glasur ist typisch für die Luxuswaren dieser Stadt, die zu einer Zeit intensivierten Handels zwischen Ägypten und den technologisch weiter fortgeschrittenen Zentren Vorderasiens errichtet wurde.
Frammento di un elemento di rivestimento invetriato, di colore bianco e nero-viola, proveniente, da El-`Amarna, la città fondata nell'Egitto centrale come residenza e centro del culto del sole, durante il regno di Akhenaton. La fine invetriatura policroma risulta tipica dei prodotti lussuosi della città, costruita al tempo della crescita del commercio fra l'Egitto e gli altri centri più avanzati tecnologicamente nell'Asia occidentale.
Fragmento de azulejo em vidrado verde, amarelo, branco e roxo, de El-`Amarna, cidade fundada no Egipto Médio, como residência do centro cultual de Akhenaton. O vidrado policromado era típico dos produtos luxuosos da cidade, construída numa altura em que comércio entre o Egipto e outros centros mais avançados da Ásia, aumentou.
Fragmento de una barrita vidriada de color verde, blanco y púrpura oscuro, procedente de Amarna, la ciudad fundada en el Egipto Medio como Residencia y centro del culto del sol durante el reinado de Ajenatón. El vidriado policromo es típico de los objetos de lujo de la ciudad, construida en un momento de creciente comercio entre Egipto y los centros tecnológicamente más avanzado del Asia occidental.
